Inevitably, when you’re trying to change culture of your business, someone won’t get on board.
And these objectors create the biggest obstacle to making a new culture stick.
Everyone else is watching to see how you handle it. Will you stick to the culture? Or, will you make an exception for the top salesperson, or the employee who has been around the longest?
These are critical decisions early in a culture change. Eventually, given enough care and feeding, your culture will weed out those who aren’t a good fit.
But in the early days, while your emerging culture is in its infancy, these decisions are critical.
They dictate the future direction. Choose wisely.
